Intaglio: engraving, etching, soft ground, aquatint, electric stippler, large open-bite areas.
Four plates: one copper master plate, three copper color plates. All plates contain color in the intaglio area except for purple, which is rolled on. Lower right hand corner red area is a cut-out plate which is placed upon the master plate, then printed. This approach is again taken up in Bleeding Heart (1970) and Quetzalcoatl (1972).
