The issue featured three articles: The Prints of Mauricio Lasansky This essay, penned by Alan Fern, served as the introduction to the 1975 book "Lasansky: Printmaker" (The University of Iowa Press, 1975). It provides a comprehensive overview of the artist's life and unique insights into his work. The Artist's Hand: The Prints of Mauricio Lasansky This essay was published as the introduction to the exhibit catalogue for the Neuberger Museum, State University of New York at Purchase, Fall-Winter 1988-89. It looks at the artist's life and the impact of world events on his work. Mauricio Lasansky and Intaglio Printmaking This historical overview of the life and work of Mauricio Lasansky is reprinted from "Mauricio Lasansky: a Retrospective Exhibition of His Prints and Drawings," a catalog published on the occasion of an exhibition at the University of Iowa Museum of Art (September 24 - November 28, 1976). Mauricio Lasansky's Prints: A Critical Perspective This critical and historical analysis of the work of Mauricio Lasansky by I. Michael Danoff also appeared in "Mauricio Lasansky: a Retrospective Exhibition of His Prints and Drawings." Reprinted from "Mauricio Lasansky," a monograph published on the occasion of a retrospective exhibition of Maurico Lasansky's work, 1960. The article was written by Carl Zigrosser for the American Federation of Arts under a grant received from the Ford Foundation Program in the Humanities. By William Friedman. Published as an introduction to the catalogue for a US Information Agency-sponsored traveling exhibit of the work of Mauricio Lasansky and his students, coordinated by the Albright Art Gallery of Buffalo, New York. After a preliminary opening in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the exhibit was shown throughout Latin America for an extended period. An article by William Friedman, reprinted from a catalog published on the occasion of an exhibition in duplicate at the Walker Art Center (Minneapolis) and the Colorado Srings Fine Arts Center (Colorado Springs), January 30 - March 13, 1949).
